Sierra Club Florida Groups - Regional The strength of Sierra Club lies in the efforts of our local grassroots
volunteers and our volunteer effort is focused in our hundreds of
local Groups. Florida has 16 Sierra Groups around the
state. See the Florida MAP
to find the group in your area. Or, you can use the pull-down menu at the top "my backyard". The Groups operate somewhat independently of the Florida Sierra Club. Each has its own Executive Committee, holds general meetings at times and locations that are convenient for them. They organize outings, and monitor local conservations issues. They have no paid staff and are run completely by volunteers. Most of our Groups maintain websites with current meeting times and locations. We encourage everyone to look for a Group in their neighborhood and attend a meeting or function. Links to the Groups with websites and phone numbers for some of the Groups are listed below.
