VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Help Your Local Sierra Club
Education and Community Outreach Committee needs Volunteers. There are many outdoor events in South Florida where non-profit organizations are given the chance to participate. The Miami Group will setup a table at many of
these events, to meet people, entertain their kids, tell them
about Sierra, and give them some information on the
environment. If you are interested please email Valerie Robbin.
Webmaster needs volunteer to do monthly updates. Our website serves members and the general public and we
need it to be as up to date as possible. Only the most basic html and
ftp experience is needed, but if you do this kind of thing with
all the software bells and whistles that would be great too.

Nominating Committee Needed for 3 month job. This is an easy task of short duration. We need you to find members to be on our 2014 Executive Committee. You will be contacting past leaders and up and coming activists to get them to run in our December election and work with others to keep the
Sierra Club alive in South Florida. If you are interested,

Inner City Outings needs help maintaining equipment. We have trips going out on weekends and we need help when we get back - cleaning and storing the equipment. We also need someone to help us repair sleeping bags, paddles, cooler, etc. Be a welcome home helper at the end of our trips, or, just pitch in one time to help fix gear. Send an email to Karen Kerr.
Miami Group Needs a PRINT newsletter editor. We have new members joining us every month, and they need a newsletter to get them introduced to the Miami Group. It is just one page, to tell them hello, and get them up to speed on the Group. Follow our simple format and fill in the blanks, or create something new. Interested? Environmental writers wanted. We need volunteers to write
for our webpages and our newsletter. We need short articles
on topics of importance to our members and the community.
Pick your own issue, follow it, report on it. To volunteer,

Inner City Outings. Do you love being with kids as much as
you love being outdoors? ICO is looking for a few good people
to step up and become trip leaders. Interested? Send an email

Miami Group Outings is looking for leaders. If you love the outdoors and want to share it with others, if you have led trips before for Sierra or the Scouts, we need you to join our outings program. We know that to get people to protect the environment they need to love it, and what better way than to explore it ? Interested? Send an email to Mark Walters.
Miami Executive Committee. The Executive Committee or ExCom is now a sleek, 7 member team. They have a conference call or a meeting once a month and communicate via email to make decisions for the Miami Group. We need volunteers every year to keep this club going! We have FIVE openings to fill this December! You don't need to be an environmental expert, just have an interest in working with the Sierra Club.
